Gameplay

New Implementation:

  • Drag back skill move (LB + RB / L1 + R1 while pointing left stick behind the player’s facing direction)
  • Manual shielding (hold LT / L2 when in possession of the ball)

Adjustments & Improvements:

  • When choosing the optimal location for a through pass, we now favor the receiver’s running direction more often.
  • Avoid overly-aggressive interceptions from far away, by increasing the time required to beat an expected receiver to activate a lock on as distance increases.
  • Reworked duels system to consider position as a more important determining factor. This makes the a player more likely to win duels if they are strong/heavy and/or in a good position, rather than the defender being unfairly favored.
  • Pass receivers will now favor receiving the ball on the pitch rather than off it, which will stop the player from trying to trap the ball off the pitch when they could instead trap it on the pitch.

Design Adjustments:

  • Adjusted min. shot power for all shot types and stats.
  • Lowered lofted pass dispersion.
  • Lowered max charge time for shots and passes from 0,4s to 0,3s.
  • Adjusted optimal charge time for chip shots based on distance to target.
  • Increased the distance a manually controlled defender can lock-on from when an opponent is dribbling, to avoid scenarios where the defender didn’t lock on properly after sprint touches.
  • Adjusted receiver selection scoring to avoid passes being played outside the pitch on the wings.
  • Increased execution time for low-charged shots, lowered execution time for high-charged shots.
  • Increased the importance of the goalkeeper’s diving stat.
  • Adjusted player movement to ensure players cannot maintain a high speed when making sharp turns.
  • Enabled more AI runs from teammates.
  • Adjusted defensive line depth to be further up the pitch.

  • Fixed issue with missing player card generation.

Bug Fixes:

  • Fixed an issue where drag backs/ball rolls were not being aborted correctly if collisions occurred during dribbling.
  • Fixed issues with AI attacking runners.
  • Fixed issues with Defensive AI (marking and freezing).
  • Fixed an issue where players would take a “bounce up” touch.
  • Fix for drag back executing even after dispossession.

  • Fixed an animation issue where the player would rotate to face away from the ball during the action.
  • Fixed an animation issue where players would lean back when slowing down.
  • Fixed an animation issue where players would trigger a quick 360 turn after executing an auto-tackle.
  • Fixed issue where stumbles would play during goalie save animation recovery, causing flickering between Action and Locomotion state.
  • Fixed an issue where users couldn’t switch/change players in Edit team Main Menu / Moving from collections goes to the wrong position.
  • Fixed an issue where the button to Skip Replay also serves as the Pause Request, performing both functions.
  • Fixed a VFX issue where the glow effect scrolls from the bottom card to the top one when a card from the bottom was selected in edit team.
  • Fixed a VFX issue where the glow effect on the cards was cut off.
  • Fixed an issue where "Shoot Power" instead of "Shot Power" was displayed in Player Details.
  • Fixed an issue which was causing defenders to occasionally freeze.
  • Fixed an issue where players would stumble from a Stand Tackle, even if they were far away from the tackle.
  • Fixed a rare issue where a player would dispossess an opponent automatically, even if the dribbler was in the way of the ball.
