Gameplay:
Adjustments & Improvements:
- Buff goalie saving ability when claiming crosses to ensure they win the ball when they come out to claim it.
- Remove unintended blocks when close to some passes.
- Improved the ball trajectory for jog dribbles.
- Fixed ball trajectory calculation when the ball would bounce of the post or deflect off the keeper.
- Improved bot behaviour.
- Improvements to goalkeeper parry directions
- Reduced the amount of curve applied on a curved through pass
- Re-implemented through pass receiver speed threshold for directed through passes.
- Triggered runs now go in the attacking direction apart from when they divert to run around a defender.
- Added some spin to Clearance trajectories.
Animation:
- Headers and Traps revised (again) to feature pre-wind-up, clear anticipation, strike, and recovery, as well as enhanced hang-time - Makes the action much more punchy and readable.
- Pre-wind up added to animations across the board (passing and shooting in particular) to allow for more time for animation to telegraph what move is coming.
- Action branching introduced to allow player to change their mind as to what action they want to perform right up to point of impact with ball - enhances responsiveness.
- Standing tackles injected to give visual feedback for a tackle from any angle (for the defender only for now - ball carrier reactions are coming soon).
Design Adjustments:
- Passes can now start execution during the charge of a pass.
- Flattened driven pass execution time at 0.2s.
- Lowered the min. initial shot speed for first-time shots.
- Lowered the max trap cooldown when an action is requested before trapping the ball.
- Temporarily lowered the maximum angle for outside foot shots until an angle calculation issue has been resolved.
- Fix for AI defenders pushing up unnecessarily when tracking runs.
- Ensure AI defenders go back with high urgency when the ball surpasses them.
UI/UX/Audio & Quality of Life:
- Added Online Activity Indicator to the Main Menu.
- More updates/fixes to the HUD.
- Fixed filter selection in arena character select.
- Various navigation fixes in squad/collection screens.
- Added new match event visuals for goal kick, corner, and throw-in.
- Adjusted when the HUD shows/hides itself to improve pacing.
- Added a UI visual when entering Golden Goal.
- Golden Goal pause can now be skipped.
Core:
- Disabled occlusion queries as they in some cases cause stuttering.
- Enable GC suppression during gameplay.
- Add user id to text message of crash reporter (copyable text content), great for users when reporting bugs.
- Stability improvements to persistent connection.
- Integrate Tellusim BC7 encoder as Unreal Compute function.
- Edit benchmark config for low end and wait for benchmark to finish before generating player cards.
