It's here. The new 5v5 game mode is now live in GOALS. Here's everything you need to know to jump in.
One roster. Everyone. Same chances.
Everyone picks from the same new roster. Nobody brings a better card than anyone else, so what decides matches is how you play together.
Every player in the roster is built for their position. Pick a Defender and the back line is yours. Pick a Midfielder and you run the game. Pick an Attacker and the goals are on you. Find the role that’s made for you.
The rules, in short
- Offside: only counts past the dashed line in the final third. You'll see it on the pitch and on your radar.
- Kick-ins: throw-ins are replaced by kick-ins, with no teleports and no cutscenes. You can be offside on kick-ins.
- Blue cards: a bad foul sends you off for 45 seconds. If the other team scores while you're out, 20 seconds come off.
- Captain in goal: the team captain controls the goalkeeper.
How to play: Open GOALS like you always do, but choose 5v5 on the main menu. That's it! Play with your friends or jump in with other players. Either way, pick your role and get on the pitch.
